The Iglesia de Santa María de la Oliva is the most emblematic religious and architectural monument in Lebrija, housing a fascinating mix of styles ranging from Mudéjar and Gothic to Renaissance and Baroque. This main temple stands out powerfully on the urban profile for its imposing tower, popularly known as 'la Giralda baja'.
Inside, visitors find an impressive Gothic head and a magnificent Baroque main altarpiece by Alonso Cano, in addition to richly decorated chapels that attest to the deep artistic history of the city. It is also the spiritual epicenter where the municipality's patron saint is venerated for most of the year.
