Cultural visit to the Castillo de Utrera
The Castillo de Utrera stands majestically atop a small hill in the old town, rising as the most emblematic medieval monument in the locality. This old defensive fortress has witnessed important historical episodes since the Late Middle Ages and offers an unmistakable silhouette with its restored walls and keep.
Inside, the space is frequently transformed into a unique cultural stage, allowing you to walk through its outdoor rooms and enjoy exceptional panoramic views of the entire Utrera townscape and the surrounding countryside. The visit allows one to understand the defensive and urban evolution of the city over the centuries.
Entrance to the monumental site is Free during regular opening hours, although it is advisable to check for possible occasional restrictions due to the celebration of summer evening events in its parade ground. Comfortable footwear is recommended for walking along its uneven paths and cobblestone ramps.
The monument is located on Calle Castillo, in the heart of the historic center. Self-guided tours can be taken from Tuesday to Sunday, with hours adjusted according to the summer season.
