Visit to the Ermita de San Arcadio

The Ermita de San Arcadio de Osuna, built during the 17th century and reformed in the mid-18th century, is the temple dedicated to the patron saint of the city. Located in the idyllic grounds of the promenade that bears his name, this single-nave hermitage combines devotional value and Baroque architectural merit.

In its presbytery stands a Baroque main altarpiece carved by Cayetano de Acosta, whose sculpted reliefs narrate in detail the scenes of the martyrdom of several saints historically linked to the town. The central dome over pendentives exhibits elaborate plasterwork with the weapons and official coat of arms of Osuna.

The visit to the interior of the sanctuary is free admission. The temple is open to the public regularly on Sunday mornings for liturgical acts from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM, allowing neighbors to see the Baroque altarpiece by Acosta.
