Monumental tour of the Universidad de Osuna and the Colegiata

The monumental complex formed by the Universidad de Osuna and the Insigne Iglesia Colegial de Santa María de la Asunción constitutes the undisputed jewel of the Andalusian Renaissance in the province of Seville. Founded in the 16th century, the old university dazzles with its Renaissance courtyard and its valuable coffered ceilings, while the Colegiata houses an incalculable pictorial treasure with works by José de Ribera.

During the visit, attendees can tour the historic university classrooms, the impressive ducal pantheon—considered a marvel of Plateresque architecture—and the chapels packed with altarpieces and sacred pieces of great historical value. The views from the hill of the Colegiata encompass the entire expanse of the Sevillian countryside.

It is advisable to purchase the combined ticket at the monument itself for approximately €6, which includes the visit to both sites. Comfortable footwear is recommended due to the steep sections that lead to the hill.

The monument is open from Tuesday to Sunday with continuous hours from 09:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Plaza de la Universidad and Plaza del Pópulo.
