Archaeological Tour of the Osset Interpretation Center
The Osset Iulia Constantia Interpretation Center is a musealized underground gem that brings to light the thousand-year-old history of the Aljarafe. The protected site gathers overlapping vestiges from the Turdetan, Roman, and Almohad eras within the same enclosure of suspended walkways.
During the visit, you will contemplate an authentic 3rd-century B.C. Turdetan wine press intended for wine production, remains of the Roman city forum of Osset, and sections of the Almohad fortress of Hins-al-Faray. The transparent floor walkways allow you to observe the archaeological blocks right under your feet while you watch their explanatory audiovisuals.
It is located in San Juan de Aznalfarache, just a 5-minute drive or a couple of Metro stops from Mairena del Aljarafe. Admission is free for registered residents, and it is recommended to contact the municipal cultural department to confirm opening shifts.
