Historic Visit to the Chapel and Subterranean Cave of Santa Ana

The Capilla de Santa Ana is one of the religious and heritage spaces with the greatest historical depth in the municipality. In the underground of this temple is the famous Cueva de Santa Ana, a grotto where tradition places the discovery of the patron saint's image by the sisters Elvira and Estefanía after the reconquest.

Visitors can tour the main nave of Gothic-Mudejar origin, contemplate the imagery dedicated to Santa Ana, and access the original cave that gave rise to the city's name. Entry to the temple is free admission.

It is located in the pedestrian center near the Plaza de la Constitución, offering a cozy historical itinerary that allows one to understand the identity and origin of the Nazarene people.
