Wildlife observation at Cañada de los Pájaros
The Reserva Natural Concertada Cañada de los Pájaros is a pioneering project in the environmental recovery of an old gravel pit converted into a wetland of high biodiversity. Entrance fees are 12€ for adults and 8€ for children from 5 to 12 years old (under 5 years free). It constitutes a key educational and conservation space in the vicinity of Doñana.
The space allows you to observe more than 150 species of waterbirds that inhabit or nest in the lagoon, among which the red-knobbed coot, flamingos, and white storks stand out. The birds show great proximity to the public, facilitating the observation of their daily behaviors. It remains open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 until dusk.
It is advisable to bring a camera and binoculars to appreciate the details of the fauna. It is an ideal plan for families who wish to enjoy a day of nature and environmental awareness.
