Pilgrimage of the Virgin of Gracia

The Romería de la Virgen de Gracia is traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday of the month as a grand prelude to the patron saint festivities. It is one of the pilgrimages with the most deep-rooted popular tradition in the region, uniting faith, devotion, and equestrian tradition in a festive day outdoors.

The procession departs after the pilgrims' mass at 08:30h from the Ermita de San Antón and travels three kilometers, passing through iconic landmarks such as the Puerta de Sevilla and the Puerta de Córdoba. The procession is led by numerous horsemen, the Simpecado carriage pulled by oxen, and decorated carriages accompanied by popular music.

Attending the route is free of charge. The most colorful moment to contemplate the passage of the procession is during its journey through the historic center in the morning or at sunset on its return.
