Reenactment program of the 9th Roman October

Carmona pays tribute to its glorious past as the ancient imperial Carmo through the celebration of the IX Octubre Romano, an annual event that transforms the streets of its historic center into a living image of classical Rome. Organized by the Ayuntamiento de Carmona, this educational program fills the town with historical reenactments, military parades, and guided itineraries designed to rediscover local archaeological traces.

Throughout the month, visitors can watch parades of Roman legions, demonstrations of combat tactics, and scenes of daily life from the classical era in iconic squares. The program also includes gastronomic days set with ancient recipes, live performances, and street activities open to the public at no cost with a start time of 10:00h.

To make the most of the experience, it is recommended to start the day in the monumental center and check the daily program at information points. It is an ideal opportunity to walk calmly and enjoy the heritage outdoors.
