Cultural visit to the fortified enclosure of the Castillo de Alcalá

The Castillo de Luna - Casa Museo Jorge Bonsor is an impressive Mudejar fortification from the Late Middle Ages that was transformed in the early 20th century by the famous archaeologist George Bonsor into his residence. This space stands out for combining Christian military architecture with Andalusian-style eclectic gardens, becoming a top-tier cultural visit in the Los Alcores region.

Inside, the exhibition itinerary designed by the researcher himself is preserved intact. The tour covers the archaeologist's residence, the exhibition hall, and the Casa Palacio de los Duques de Arcos, housing archaeological collections from the area, ethnographic pieces, historical weapons, and Bonsor's personal archive.

The standard rate is 5€ general, with a discounted price of 2.50€ for the unemployed and free access on Thursdays with prior reservation. The usual schedule for guided tours is Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00, and it is recommended to make the mandatory prior reservation in advance through the official tourism channels.
