Visita al Castillo Medieval y Recinto Fortificado

The Castillo de Alcalá de Guadaíra is the great historical emblem of the city, an imposing medieval fortress built on the hill of the same name that dominates the entire valley. Declared a Bien de Interés Cultural, walking through its walls, towers, and the ancient walled enclosure allows one to understand the key strategic position this defensive enclave had in the Andalusian era and after the Christian conquest.

On your tour, you will find unique elements such as the Alcázar Real, the remains of the old silos and barbicans, as well as exceptional panoramic views over the Guadaíra river and the Oromana pine forests. It is a direct journey to the Andalusian medieval past flanked by the military and residential history of the Los Alcores region.

Access to the monumental site is free, although it is recommended to check special summer hours and book in advance if opting for any of the guided tours scheduled by the city council to avoid crowds during the hottest hours.
