Riverside walk along the Paseo Carlos de Mesa

The Paseo Fluvial Carlos de Mesa is the emblematic pedestrian route that runs parallel to the right bank of the Guadalquivir River as it passes through Coria del Río. This landscaped space combines the town's maritime tradition with direct views of river traffic and the natural landscapes of the estuary.

The promenade features pedestrian paths, landscaped areas, shaded benches, and the monument to the expedition of the samurai Hasekura Tsunenaga, a key milestone that commemorates the origin of the historical relations between Coria del Río and Japan. From the promenade, it is common to watch the crossing of the ferry barges over the river.

The visit has Free admission and pedestrian access with free hours all day long. It is a very pleasant alternative for a relaxed walk at sunset, which can be completed by trying local specialties such as rice with crab or fried smelt on the terraces of nearby establishments.
