IV Subida al Águila Race
The athletic event IV Subida al Águila calls on runners from across the region to take on a course that combines demanding urban athletics with the city's rich heritage environment. A short-distance race that is nonetheless highly demanding due to its final slopes towards the historic hill.
Athletes will complete a timed 4.08-kilometer circuit spread over three laps that runs along the hillsides of the mountain and the walled enclosures. The event will begin at 09:00h on September 19, 2026, with both the start and finish lines located on the esplanade of the Santuario de Nuestra Señora del Águila.
Participation requires prior registration with a capacity limited to 300 runners through the Tecnocrono platform, with the deadline closing on September 13. Spectators can station themselves along the route to cheer on the runners during the sections with the steepest inclines.
