Cultural visit to the Municipal Historical Museum at the Palacio de Benamejí
Located in a majestic 18th-century Baroque palace, the Museo Histórico Municipal de Écija houses one of the most valuable Roman archaeological collections in Andalusia. Among its rooms, the monumental sculpture of the Wounded Amazon stands out, an exceptionally preserved marble piece, along with impressive polychrome mosaics from the ancient domus of Astigi.
The tour of the venue also allows you to contemplate stately courtyards, the old carriage houses with horse-drawn carriages, and rooms dedicated to prehistory and the Islamic era. The museum is open in summer from Monday to Sunday from 10:00h to 14:00h. The price is 3€ general admission and 1,50€ reduced rate.
