Sunset from the Mirador de la Torre de San Gil

The Atardecer desde la Torre de San Gil offers one of the most romantic and exclusive panoramas of the 'City of the Sun'. Located at the highest point of the old town, the San Gil church boasts an imposing 18th-century baroque brick and glazed ceramic tower.

After ascending the interior bell tower staircase, visitors reach the bell chamber to see the sea of reddish rooftops, the winding of the river Genil, and the silhouette of the Eleven Baroque Towers silhouetted against the sunset. The climb to the tower is done by prior consultation at the parish with a contribution of 2€ per person. The optimal time for the visit coincides with the last hours of the afternoon to admire the twilight over the countryside.
