Visit to the Parroquia de Santa María Magdalena

Located presiding over the central Plaza de la Constitución, the Parroquia de Santa María Magdalena represents the main cathedral-like temple of the city. Built in the Baroque era with subsequent remodeling, it guards within its walls important sacred heritage and religious imagery of great popular devotion.

Among its heritage riches is the valuable carving of the Virgen de Valme, as well as Baroque altarpieces and liturgical objects of significant artistic and historical value. Admission for worship and tourist visits is free of charge.

It is suggested to visit outside of regular liturgical worship hours to appreciate the side chapels and the main altar in detail. Its location allows you to complete the route through the civic square.
