Underwater Archaeology Activity 'Uluburun, Shipwreck in the Pool'

The Sports Delegation organizes, within the +queDEPORTE program, an original proposal that fuses ancient history and aquatic practice under the title 'Uluburun, Naufragio en la Piscina'. This pioneering initiative is held at the Piscina C.D.M. Los Montecillos and allows participants to become underwater archaeologists for a day.

Through game dynamics and experimentation guided by specialists, attendees discover the mysteries and hidden treasures of the Uluburun, considered the oldest sunken merchant ship found in the Mediterranean Sea. The activity is structured in two adapted categories: the CHUSOR category (focused on youth aged 9 to 16) and the FÉNIX category (intended for those over 16 years old).

Participation is completely free, although it requires formalizing prior registration due to the limited number of spots available in the pool basin. It is an excellent opportunity to bring historical heritage closer to the public through a playful and refreshing methodology at the beginning of the month.
