Guided tour of the Castillo de la Monclova
The Castillo de la Monclova is one of the most distinguished and imposing fortified palaces in the Bajo Guadalquivir region. Located in the municipality of Fuentes de Andalucía on a site with Turdetan and Roman roots, the current fortress preserves architectural remains ranging from the 14th century to significant Renaissance and historical renovations carried out by the ducal houses linked to the monument.
The guided tour allows you to explore its vast ornamental gardens, the ancient Keep, the 15th-century chapel with its Castilian altarpiece, and a superb Renaissance arcaded courtyard topped with noble coats of arms. The interior displays period furniture, collections of 17th-century tapestries and canvases by Francisco López de Castro, as well as the old olive mill and a restored gala carriage.
