Cultural visit and cloister sweets at the Convento de Santa Clara

Founded in the 15th century, the Convento de Santa Clara constitutes a haven of Mudejar architecture within the walled center of Carmona where the community of nuns keeps alive the traditional preparation of cloister pastries.

Upon entering the central Torregatos street, visitors can contemplate the church and the main altarpiece and then head to the rotating hatch of the Convento de Santa Clara de Carmona. There, you can purchase handmade sweets such as the famous olive oil cakes, pumpkin 'cortadillos', or convent egg yolk candies prepared with centuries-old recipes.

Access to the rotating hatch for the purchase of products is free admission, while the tourist visit to the church and the tower viewpoint has a cost of 2€ per person.
