Visit to the Mercado de Abastos and traditional tapas in the Plaza del Palenque

The Mercado de Abastos de Carmona occupies the neoclassical cloister of the old Convento de Santa Catalina, built in the 16th century. Its arcaded galleries combine traditional stalls of local products with deli shops and gastro-bars.

Visitors can taste local stews such as carmonense alboronía, spinach with chickpeas, or freshly made chicharrones, accompanied by local fino and manzanilla wines under the arches of the central patio.

The venue offers free admission and its bars and food stalls remain open from 08:00 to 16:00. It is an ideal option for lunch while enjoying tapas in a historic architectural setting.
