Visit to the Iglesia Prioral de Santa María de la Asunción

The Iglesia Prioral de Santa María de la Asunción is one of the jewels of the late Gothic and Andalusian Renaissance, erected on the site of the ancient main mosque of the city. The temple impresses with its cathedral-like dimensions, the preserved Andalusian Patio de los Naranjos, and its superb 16th-century main altarpiece.

During the visit, you can tour its chapels of rich artistic heritage and the annexed sacred art museum. The general ticket price is 6€ adults / 3€ reduced, and it is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

It is recommended to visit early in the morning during the month of July to avoid the high temperatures of midday in the historic center.
