Ruta del Agua y los Molinos Harineros del Guadaíra
The area of the Monumento Natural Riberas del Guadaíra houses a unique archaeological collection of flour mills of medieval and Islamic origin. With free and open access, this easy hiking route connects historical structures such as the Molino del Algarrobo, the Molino de San Juan, the Molino de Benarosa, and the Molino de Oromana.
The path skirts the riverside vegetation among poplars and eucalyptus trees, allowing you to observe the weirs, the cutwaters, and the stone sluice gates that diverted the water to move the grinding stones. It is an ideal activity to combine nature, photography, and historical heritage outdoors.
Comfortable footwear is recommended for walking on dirt or albero tracks. There are marked starting points from the Puente del Dragón or Parque Oromana.
