Monumental walk and panoramic viewpoints of the Castillo walled enclosure

The Castillo de Alcalá de Guadaíra raises its imposing Almohad silhouette over Los Alcores, forming one of the most extensive and interesting fortified complexes in the province of Seville. Its recent nocturnal ornamental lighting and the enhancement of its medieval walls make it an essential heritage landmark that combines military history and fluvial nature.

When touring the enclosure, the visitor enters the old fortress area, the Tower of Homage, and the remains of barbicans that flank the Guadaíra valley. From its highest points, you get privileged views over the traditional flour mills and the lush pine forests of the riverside parks.

It is recommended to visit late in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset over the Sevillian horizon and avoid the daytime heat. Access to the historical exterior enclosure is free.
